Its is a very good place i have eaten rhere for the the 8 years . very nice people and i was always taken care of there. 💯

Nice food in the desert area. I got scrambled egg with Mexican sausages and it tastes good. If you happen to pass by and hungry, it a good choice to get some decent food.

Supprisngly good! Have been here a handful of times when we've been preparing in Ocotillo and it's always been good food. This visit service was better than we'd had before and the food was also better than I expected.It a very basic place and about what you'd expect considering where you are. Overall it's average, but way above average for the area and lack of dining optionsm.

This is the 3rd time I have been here and I have not been disappointed yet. Excellent place to come in after a hard ride in Ocotillo Wells or Truckhaven. The burritos are decent sizes and the prices are very reasonable. This is the best option in my opinion in Salton City for your dining need. I will be back. They also give you chips and a hot salsa with a kick. Thank you Alamo. 👍

Food is great !! Chavelas and micheladas are excelente and the employees are friendly, I love coming to the Alamo once my family and i are done off-roading

Really great place for Mexican food, I got the California burrito with carne asada and fries inside, it was delicious! My brother got the cheeseburger and he loved it as well! We we're served by very nice and pretty Hispanic girl, great customer service overall, would definitely recommend!!

Needed a place to stop and eat. My friends and I chose to stop at the Alamo restaurant. We chose the steak with shrimp and veggies and it was absolutely delicious. My friends and I all agree. We were at a lost of words when we first tasted the food because it was that great. The service at the Alamo restaurant was really great as well. There are only smiles when vsisitng this place. This place really is something amazing. I strongly recommend anyone in the area of Salton city to stop and enjoy some food at the Alamo restaurant, you will not regret it.

Greatest little gem in Salton City

This place rocks. Outdoor patio, good food. A must if your in the area. I reccomend the rib eye with shrimp. The white sauce is the shizzle!!! Oscar is the man!

Can't be too picky when it comes to restaurants in the middle of the desert. Nice folks, accommodated our group of 8 and a one year old. Half the group said it hit the spot, the other half was not very excited, but it did the job.

I asked for no onions in or on my chicken enchiladas & beef tamales. They came full of onions inside . So I DIDN'T eat them. They asked do I want a to go box. I told them again I'm can't eat onions. Ok here's your bill! Like they didn't hear me at all. Family run restaurant. Never again!!! No English.

Good food!

I always get my Menudo However the last 3 times I've ordered it it's been salty. So i decided to try something different and got the carnitas torta n the bread was really hard! Not sure if they over toasted it or if it was left in the air too long. So I give them 3 stars because I think they can do a little better.

Food was good beer too expensive plus they charge you $0.71 if you use your credit card that's ridiculous

2 words, great atmosphere! The area is amazing. I would recommend the outside seats, they are a good place to sit.

The food vwas. Not good. Facility... Not good. On a bright note. People awesome.

Nothing to brag about! Food was just okay if you're hungry and nothing else is around. Beef stew was like un seasoned meat in water.

Decent food for a desolate location. I had a california burrito (they forgot to put the sour cream in) when I brought it to their attention they did give it to me on the side. I also had a chili relleno, that was very good. Over all the burrito was dry and bland the house chips were under salted but it's on the table so you can do that yourself. The salsa was mostly water and kind of bland but helped the dry burrito. My 2 friends who also dined with me said they enjoyed their food. But they are also not as picky as I am. Would I eat here again? Maybe if I was hungry enough and in the area, but wouldn't be my first choice.

The food here is off the chart! I love the green salsa. My new favorite M restaurant in Ontario.

Love this place. Always stop in when we are in town. Food is great. Fresh chips. Friendly staff. For location being in the middle of the desert, and the restaurant style this is a clean and we'll kept establishment. Love the machaca breakfast plate.

Best food ever. Been going there for five years- not a bad meal yet. They make it the way you want it. Update 11/1/16 make that over 10 yearsAlmost 2019 and still the best food & service

I gave this a second star because we often ask each other, "remember the Alamo?"Then we laugh together, because we do remember and I would not eat here again. It may be the only place open, in which case I would say order something soft.One star for the food, an additional star for the joy it has provided me.

Good food and great place to take a lunch break after riding in the desert. Plan on being there a while. Takes time to get your freshly made food.

Great place, great service and great food!!We stopped here passing through and will be coming back. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent!!! Someone made a comment about the salsa being "hot"...the salsa was perfect. We even had a good conversation with I think is one of the owners. If your passing through or just looking for great simple Mexican food this is the place.

Great Service n Delicious Food 😊

The food is pretty good but we went five days in a row and they did not have albondigas soup even though we asked them to make it each night and we're told it only took about an hour to make. Their large guacamole is rather small and their salsa is watery and hotter than most people would like it, I think.

Food was great. The beef fajita platter was delicious with a scrumptious smell and the sizzling of the hot plate made your mouth water as it arrived at the table. The super burrito was huge and also very tasty. Our server was very quiet but she did make sure that we were doing ok several times. We would defiantly come back and recommend to others. Thank you.

Food was fine. Owners or workers were nice. Location was a bit dirty. 3 extra mystery charges, not sure what the deal was with that. Prices too high imho.

We had to rib eye steak. The flavor was delicious but my steak was a bit tough. They have excellent service and the price was fair. I'd go back.

Good Mexican restaurant

It was okay for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The meat was my only issue, however im a chef and used to better quality. That does play a role, although my children felt the same way. Only went due to an injury and not being able to cook myself. Not sure if we will return.

After driving all day from El Centro, this was the place we decided to eat. I'm glad we stopped here, because everything was absolutely delicious.

I am an adventurous eater. I don’t mean like eating puffer fish in Japan (though I’d probably do that too). I mean I’m willing to eat places that other people might be nervous about visiting. This qualifies. Why? Because it is in the middle of what looks like a post-apocalyptic ‘city’ and you can guess they don’t get many clients as a result. But these things don’t concern me. Because I value the experience even if the food sucks. Well that didn’t matter here because the food was ON POINT. Dead on, in fact. Three steak tacos, corn tortillas, only cilantro/onion (my request) and a copious amount of beans and rice. This is the food I love to eat. Simple and prepared correctly. I am not Mexican but I’m from Chicago so I’ve had the real deal too many times to count, plus I’ve had Mexican all over the country. This is the real deal.
